02/06/08 – Summary of changes that may effect MPBS Term Deposit customers at maturity There are differences in the way Wide Bay Australia and Mackay Permanent (MPBS) Term Deposits operate. Full terms and conditions are contained in “Your Guide to Wide Bay Australia's Accounts and Banking Services” however changes that may effect customers at maturity of their Term Deposit have been identified and are summarised in the letter (PDF, 40KB) sent to customers approximately one to two weeks prior to maturity date.
02/06/08 – Redraws on advance
funds from Loan Accounts While
there have been little or no changes to the general physical
operation to MPBS Loan Accounts we advise that
we are unable to continue supporting Internet Banking or Telephone
Banking redraws on advance funds from Loan Accounts. Details and options
for redrawing advance funds are contained in the letter (PDF, 64KB) sent to MPBS
Loan customers.
20/05/08 – Consolidation of MPBS Account
Names and Account Types - Loans
MPBS utilised a large number of Loan Account Names and Loan Account
Types and accordingly MPBS Loans will be consolidated on or before the
final system merger which is anticipated to be completed on 31st May 2008.
A letter and Loan Account Consolidation Schedule (PDF, 42KB) is being posted
to MPBS Loan Accountholders in respect of these changes.
06/05/08 – Consolidation of MPBS and WBA Account
Names and Account Types - Transaction, Savings & Business Accounts
and Term Deposits
Many
MPBS and WBA Account Types are similar and accordingly Account Types listed
in the Savings & Deposit Account Consolidation Schedule (PDF, 38KB) will
be converted on or before the final system merger which is anticipated
to be completed on 31st May 2008.
From 1st June 2008 – Wide Bay Australia’s terms & conditions
(and fees & charges) will be applicable to these former MPBS accounts
and any associated banking services you may use - full details
are contained in “Your Guide to Wide Bay Australia’s Accounts and Banking
Services”.
A letter
advising of these changes (PDF, 54KB) is being posted
to the Primary Accountholder only (in their capacity as the principal Accountholder)
in respect of these MPBS account/s either held by them individually or
held jointly by them with another accountholder/s.
06/05/08 - Changes to Basic Advantage Line (S28),
Advantage Line (S38) & Line
of Credit (S90) Accounts
While these products are no longer available
to new customers - changes have been made to the existing products.
These changes which are
effective from 1st June 2008 include general terms and conditions
(and fees and charges) relating to an existing customer’s
credit facility ‘access account’ and any associated banking
services you may use - plus other changes to credit terms & conditions
(and credit fees and charges).

17/03/08 - Renumbering of some MPBS Client & Account
Numbers.
Effective Wednesday 26th March, 2008 - a number of MPBS client and
account numbers will be permanently renumbered. From Monday 17th March 2008,
affected MPBS customers will receive a Notice—Important
Changes regarding your MPBS CLIENT and ACCOUNT Numbers (PDF, 179KB)—and an individual
Schedule which contains full details. The changes have been implemented to
minimise any effects on customers and it should be 'business as usual' but
with a new number. Not all MPBS customers are affected by this change—so
you may not receive a Notice. If you have any queries after receiving
a Notice and Schedule please call (07) 4963 0600 or

19/03/08 - Merger of MPBS and Wide Bay Australia Stockland Rockhampton
branches
MPBS Stockland Rockhampton branch will merge with Wide Bay Australia's Stockland
Rockhampton branch from 31st March 2008. A letter—Important
information about the Mackay Permanent Building Society Ltd (MPBS) Stockland
Rockhampton Branch (PDF, 156KB)—containing
full details of the change is being sent to MPBS customers living in Rockhampton,
Capricorn Coast and Central Highlands.
07/03/08 - MPBS ATM, Stockland Rockhampton
Please be advised that the MPBS ATM in the Stockland Rockhampton 'food court'
has been replaced with a Wide Bay Australia ATM. Wide Bay Australia and
MPBS customers may both use this ATM, with transaction fees (if applicable)
levied as per the customers existing Wide Bay Australia or MPBS account
structure. For MPBS customers, for fee charging purposes, this ATM and
Wide Bay Australia's other '24 hour' ATM at Stockland Rockhampton
are considered society 'network' ATM's.

27/05/08 - MPBS Allianz Insurance policies being transferred to Wide Bay Australia Widecover
Mackay Permanent customers with Allianz Australia Insurance policies are now being transferred to the Wide Bay Australia Widecover portfolio. Allianz will remain the insurer of these covers and no action is required. Letters (PDF, 63KB) about this change are being forwarded to MPBS Allianz customers
- together with a WBA

26/05/08 - MPBS Credits Card accounts transferred to Wide Bay Australia
Mackay Permanent Building Society Card Services MasterCard accounts have now been transferred to the Wide Bay Australia Card Services MasterCard portfolio. Accordingly a letter (PDF, 14KB) has been sent to MPBS credit card customers. Essentially there
are no major changes for MPBS credit card customers. Your credit card statements
have been rebranded and Wide Bay Australia branded cards will be issued upon
your card's expiry or when cards are reissued to you. You can also check credit
card balances, view statements, change PIN's or passwords and manage your
MasterCard online through Wide Bay Australia's Card
Services Direct internet banking - just follow the steps.
